🔥 FIRE CIDER — HEALTHY BALLZ WITH SOME SERIOUS HEAT

Who says doing something good for yourself has to taste boring?

Sandy Ballz Fire Cider takes the old-school tradition of fire cider and gives it a serious kick in the ballz. We start with apple cider vinegar and load it up with our homegrown habaneros, jalapeños, Thai chilies and Carolina Reapers, then bring in ginger, garlic, fresh lemon, turmeric, curcumin, cinnamon, nutmeg, anise and one of our favorite secret weapons — Himalayan Black Salt, also known as Kala Namak.

And these ingredients aren't just hanging around to make your mouth question its life choices.

Ginger has traditionally been used to support digestion, garlic contains naturally occurring sulfur compounds, and lemon brings vitamin C and antioxidants to the party. Turmeric and its famous active compound, curcumin, have been extensively studied for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Cinnamon also contains naturally occurring antioxidant plant compounds.

Then there are our homegrown peppers. Habaneros, jalapeños, Thai chilies and Carolina Reapers contain capsaicin — the compound responsible for their glorious heat and the reason grown adults suddenly start sweating from places they didn't know had sweat glands.

🧂 WHAT'S SO SPECIAL ABOUT THE BLACK SALT?

This isn't your ordinary table salt.

Kala Namak is a traditional South Asian black salt famous for its unmistakable savory, mineral-rich and slightly sulfurous flavor. It's primarily made up of sodium chloride but also contains naturally occurring sulfur and iron compounds, including sulfates, sulfides and iron sulfide. Depending on its source and preparation, Kala Namak can also contain varying amounts of trace minerals such as iron, potassium, magnesium and calcium.

Those sulfur compounds are what give Kala Namak its funky, almost egg-like aroma — and they're exactly why it adds such an incredible savory depth to our Fire Cider. Iron compounds also contribute to the salt's distinctive dark violet-to-pink color.

Kala Namak has been used for generations in Ayurvedic and South Asian culinary traditions, particularly in foods and preparations associated with digestion and wellness. Modern research into black salt is still developing, so we're not going to tell you that a pinch of salt is some magical cure-all.

We just know it brings centuries of tradition, fascinating mineral chemistry and one hell of a flavor to the bottle.

Combine all of that with apple cider vinegar, fresh herbs, spices and some seriously angry homegrown peppers, and you've got Sandy Ballz Fire Cider — bold, tangy, savory, spicy and unlike anything you'll find sitting next to the boring hot sauce at the grocery store.

Grow your peppers. Drink your cider. Protect your Ballz.â„¢
